What does "Remove Extra Spaces" do?+

Replaces any sequence of 2+ consecutive spaces with a single space. Also removes leading/trailing spaces from the whole text. Does not touch line breaks or indentation.

What does "Fix Line Breaks" do?+

Replaces Windows CRLF (\r\n) with Unix LF (\n) and normalises 3+ consecutive line breaks down to 2, preserving paragraph spacing without triple-blank-line gaps.

What does "Remove HTML Tags" do?+

Strips all HTML/XML tags leaving only visible text content. Removes p, strong, br, div, span and all others. Does not decode HTML entities like & or .

What does "Remove Blank Lines" do?+

Removes lines that are completely empty or contain only whitespace. Useful for cleaning PDF copy-pastes where each line ends with a forced break creating many empty lines.

What does "Trim Each Line" do?+

Removes leading and trailing whitespace from every individual line. Useful for cleaning indented code or text with inconsistent per-line padding.

Can I undo an operation?+

Use your browser's standard Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo the last change to the text area.

What does "Add Line Numbers" do?+

Prepends a sequential number to each line: "1. First line", "2. Second line". Useful for numbered lists and document line references.
